Who am I?

Hi, I'm Lefty Crumpet! I'm a Minneapolis-based, ethnically ambiguous, joke-slinging, musical funnyman with social anxiety from Riverside, California. I started doing stand up comedy in college, and immediately fell in love with the endorphin rush of the stage. I was a finalist in the 2022 Funniest Person With a Day Job Competition at Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy at the Mall of America. In 2024, I co-founded the comedy production company Freshly Squeezed Comedy with my comedy friend Jesse The Shrink. We produce, host, and perform in our own shows at venues all across the state of Minnesota. You can find me bringing joy and confusion to crowds all over the Twin Cities and surrounding area. I lift people's hearts and minds with absurd and hilarious jokes and songs, about various topics ranging from relationships to Doordash. When I'm not telling jokes or serenading strangers, I don’t really do much. I like to walk around sometimes, I guess. I also love pudding. 

What's with the name Lefty Crumpet?

When I was in seventh grade, I wrote a really weird children's book. It wasn't very good because I was 13. Lefty Crumpet was the name of the main character. I created this website when I was 15, thinking I would be a children's book author. I started doing standup comedy in November of 2017. Then, in July of 2023, I made Lefty Crumpet my stage name because it's more google-able than my real name, and all of my social media was already under the name Lefty Crumpet, so I figured I should stick with it. So that's the story.
